Under data protection laws, including GDPR, you have the right to request deletion of your personal data. This page explains how to request deletion of your data from our WhatsApp Bot service.

How to Request Data Deletion

To request deletion of your data, please follow these steps:

Send a deletion request: Contact us via email at info@proto-byte.com with the subject "Data Deletion Request"
Include your information: Provide your WhatsApp phone number (in international format, e.g., +447976122339) to help us identify your data
Verification: We may need to verify your identity before processing the deletion request
Processing time: We will process your request within 30 days of receipt

What Data Will Be Deleted

When you request data deletion, we will remove:

All messages sent to and received from the bot
Your phone number and contact information
Message metadata (timestamps, message IDs)
Any stored conversation history

What Data May Be Retained

We may retain certain information if required by law, including:

Data required for legal compliance or regulatory requirements
Data necessary for resolving disputes or enforcing agreements
Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot identify you

Alternative Method

You can also request data deletion by sending a message to our WhatsApp Bot with the text "DELETE MY DATA" or "REQUEST DATA DELETION". We will process your request accordingly.

Confirmation

After processing your deletion request, we will send you a confirmation email or WhatsApp message confirming that your data has been deleted.
